    Help Shape the Future of Our Mission

    Bluegrass Outreach Initiative is seeking dedicated and community-minded individuals to serve as Volunteer Board Members. As a nonprofit committed to providing donated medical equipment to individuals in need, our Board plays a vital role in guiding our organization, expanding our impact, and ensuring we continue serving our community with integrity and compassion.

    This is an opportunity to use your professional experience, leadership skills, and passion for service to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

    Position Overview

    Volunteer Board Members provide strategic leadership, governance, and oversight for the organization. Board members work collaboratively to support our mission, strengthen community partnerships, and help ensure the long-term sustainability and success of Bluegrass Outreach Initiative.

    Responsibilities

    • Attend and actively participate in regular board meetings (~every 1-2 months).
    • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to support the organization's mission and goals.
    • Serve as an ambassador for Bluegrass Outreach Initiative within the community.
    • Assist with community outreach, relationship building, and fundraising efforts.
    • Help identify opportunities for partnerships, grants, and organizational growth.
    • Support the Executive Director and leadership team through governance and sound decision-making.
    • Participate on committees or special projects as needed.
    • Uphold the organization's mission, values, and ethical standards.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Passion for serving individuals and families in need.
    • Commitment to the mission of improving access to medical equipment.
    • Leadership, professional, or volunteer experience in areas such as healthcare, nonprofit management, finance, law, marketing, fundraising, business, education, or community development is welcomed but not required.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
    • Willingness to contribute time, expertise, and advocacy to help advance our mission.
    • Prefer member with nonprofit, business, legal, or leadership backgrounds, but open to all applicants.
