Description
Pines of Sarasota is looking for a volunteer Tue, Wed & Fri from 9-12 to assist with transporting residents to rehab. This volunteer provides support to the staff of the department of Rehabilitation. The benefit is in being able to maintain a steady flow of scheduled appointments for inpatient as well as outpatient rehabilitation sessions. Volunteers will transport residents by wheelchair to and from their rooms to one of two on campus rehabilitation centers. They will make conversation with residents and family members to create a relaxed atmosphere. Must have good communication skills, be able to push a wheelchair and to be able to spend the majority of the shift on their feet.
