Data Migration Specialist Volunteer Role (Odoo Team) at CrowdDoing

CrowdDoing.world is seeking a data migration specialist to help transfer our legacy data into the new Odoo system. This is an unpaid, virtual volunteer role to use your skills for social impact.

As a Data Migration Specialist, you will export data from various systems like Microsoft and Google calendars, and convert it for importing into Odoo. You'll ensure integrity during migration, especially for compliance related data.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Understanding CrowdDoing's legacy systems and data structure
    • Exporting data from source systems in required formats
    • Designing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
    • Transforming data to fit Odoo data models
    • Establishing test cases to validate migrated data
    • Troubleshooting and resolving data errors post-migration
    • Documenting the entire data migration approach

We believe in the exponential potential of global collaboration. This role offers you micro-leadership, whereby you take on a dimension of responsibility for our shared challenges.

    Requirements:

    • Experience with large-scale data migration projects
    • Understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines
    • Strong data analysis and transformation skills
    • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data integrity
    • Technical knowledge of APIs and integrations
    • Passion for volunteering skills towards social impact

This is a flexible, virtual role requiring 5+ hours per week. If you are interested, share why you are a great fit for this role at CrowdDoing.world. We welcome co-designing an opportunity tailored to your interests!
