Who we are looking for:
You bring energy, creativity, and an encouraging teaching style. You enjoy helping beginners explore movement and expression without pressure to perform. You can break down simple steps and make dance approachable and fun for all participants.
What will you be doing:
- Teach basic dance movements or simple routines (hip-hop, contemporary, or freestyle)
- Encourage self-expression through movement in a low-pressure environment
- Lead warm-ups and guided activities that build confidence
- Adapt instruction to different comfort and skill levels
- Foster a supportive and inclusive group dynamic
Why is this job needed/important:
Dance provides a powerful outlet for self-expression, confidence-building, and physical activity. This role helps youth engage creatively while building comfort with movement and group participation.
Where: Idaho Youth Ranch Residential Center for Healing & Resilience (Caldwell)
Availability: One 2-hour session between the hours of 9:00am – 12:00pm MST; 1:00pm – 5:00pm MST (June 1–5; morning or afternoon)
To volunteer for this opportunity, you will need to be at least 18 years old.
