    Description

Veterans Serving Veterans — Volunteer with Maxcare Hospice (Orange County, CA)

Maxcare Hospice is honored to serve the men and women who have served our country. We are currently seeking United States military veterans to volunteer with our hospice team in Westminster, CA and surrounding Orange County communities, supporting fellow veterans at the end of life.

As a veteran volunteer, you bring something truly meaningful—shared experience, understanding, and respect. Whether it’s spending time in quiet conversation, offering companionship, or simply being present, your service can bring comfort and dignity to a fellow veteran during one of life’s most important moments.

Veteran volunteers at Maxcare Hospice may choose to participate in a variety of meaningful roles, including:

    • Vet-to-vet companionship visits with hospice patients wherever they call home
    • Veteran pinning ceremonies to honor service and sacrifice
    • Legacy projects that help preserve a veteran’s life story and memories
    • Bedside presence or vigil support for veterans nearing the end of life
    • Participation in veteran-focused community events and recognition programs

Even a few hours a month can make a powerful difference. While you are supporting another veteran, many of our volunteers tell us they find a renewed sense of purpose, connection, and fulfillment in return.

No medical experience is required. Free training is provided, and volunteer schedules are flexible. You choose how and where you would like to serve, based on your comfort level and availability.

If you are a veteran looking for a meaningful way to continue serving—this time by honoring those who served alongside you—we would be honored to welcome you to the Maxcare Hospice volunteer team.

Your service mattered then. It still matters now.
