Cybersecurity Manager

Description
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Manager to help guide and strengthen the organization's overall security posture. Working alongside our IT and security volunteers, this role supports the development of security strategy, oversees day-to-day security practices, and helps ensure our systems, data, and platforms remain protected and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of the organization's cybersecurity strategy and roadmap
- Help coordinate the work of security volunteers across IAM, cloud, and application security
- Assist in monitoring security systems and conducting risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities
- Support incident detection and response, helping ensure timely investigation and resolution
- Help ensure compliance with recognized security frameworks and data-protection standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Assist in developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Support security awareness and training efforts to promote a security-first culture
- Collaborate with IT and leadership to integrate security into everyday operations
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a cybersecurity or information security role, including some leadership or coordination
- Familiarity with recognized security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS Controls)
- Understanding of incident response, risk assessment, and data-protection regulations
- Working knowledge of security tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, encryption) and cloud platforms
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams and departments
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years in cybersecurity, with some in a management or lead capacity
- Relevant certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
- Experience with cloud security, development lifecycle, and regulatory compliance
