Description
Pet Therapy Volunteers Needed – Bring Comfort to Hospice Patients
Anew Hospice is seeking compassionate pet therapy volunteers to provide comfort visits to our hospice patients.
Volunteers and their certified therapy pets play a meaningful role in enhancing quality of life for patients at the end of life. A simple visit can bring peace, companionship, and moments of joy during a deeply important time.
Volunteer Commitment:
- Visits typically occur weekly (or more based on your availability and patient needs)
- Flexible scheduling — we work with your availability
- Visits take place in patients’ homes or care facilities
Requirements:
- Pet must be therapy certified
- Current immunizations and up-to-date veterinary records
- Compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working with hospice patients
