    Description

Help expand access to the resources our Denver neighbors need to move forward.

Every grant has the potential to provide bus passes for someone starting a new job, a phone that reconnects someone with their family, a laptop for workforce training, or the funding to launch an entirely new community program.

As a Volunteer Grant Writer with Momentum360, you'll help us secure the resources that make those moments possible.

This is an opportunity to work closely with our leadership team to identify funding opportunities, tell compelling stories about our impact, and help grow a nonprofit that's committed to meeting people where they are.

    What You'll Do

    • Research local, state, and national grant opportunities.
    • Assist with writing and editing grant proposals.
    • Gather program data and impact stories to strengthen applications.
    • Help maintain a grant calendar with important deadlines.
    • Work with our Executive Director and Operations team to develop funding strategies.
    • Support follow-up reports and other grant-related documentation when needed.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

    • A strong writer with excellent attention to detail.
    • Curious and enjoys research.
    • Organized and able to manage deadlines.
    • Passionate about community impact.
    • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with our team.

Previous grant writing experience is appreciated but not required. If you have experience in nonprofit development, communications, fundraising, English, journalism, public administration, or a related field, we'd love to hear from you.

    Why Volunteer With Momentum360?

Momentum360 serves adults experiencing homelessness and housing instability throughout the Denver metro by connecting people with practical resources and individualized support.

Your work could help fund programs such as:

    • Transportation assistance
    • Cell phone and digital access initiatives
    • Employment support
    • Housing navigation
    • Community outreach events
    • Emergency basic needs
    • New programs that remove barriers to long-term stability

Every successful grant creates opportunities for more people to receive the support they need.

    What You'll Gain

    • Hands-on nonprofit development experience.
    • Opportunities to build your grant writing portfolio.
    • Collaboration with nonprofit leadership.
    • Experience researching foundations and funding opportunities.
    • A chance to see the direct impact your work has on the community.

    Time Commitment

    • Fully remote
    • Flexible schedule
    • Approximately 5–10 hours per week
    • Ongoing volunteer opportunity
    • Opportunity to go full-time if desired

If you're passionate about writing, research, and creating lasting community impact, we'd love to have you on our team.
