    Description

    The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) San Diego is looking for an energetic volunteer to present our Money Ops workshop to active-duty Sailors and Marines. The Money Ops Ambassador supports the delivery of Money Ops an interactive, team‑based instructional game that allows service members to practice realistic financial decision-making. Ambassadors enhance the learning environment by encouraging engagement, assisting with gameplay elements, and helping the facilitator maintain a smooth, fun, and professional experience.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with the Money Ops Facilitator to ensure smooth class experience
    • Prepare and organize printed materials, game components, and class resources
    • Support the Money Ops class in person at various locations both on and off base
    • Interact with teams and gamification simulations
    • Encourage participation, teamwork, and friendly competition throughout the class
    • Distribute class materials, support activities, and ensure timely transitions through game rounds
    • Answer participants' questions during gameplay
    • Serve as an ambassador for financial education, modeling engagement, and enthusiasm

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Commit to the team for a minimum of 6 months
    • Complete NMCRS Orientation and Training
    • Be able to work collaboratively with staff, clients and fellow volunteers
    • Clear communication and friendly, encouraging demeanor
    • Comfortable engaging diverse adult learners in a dynamic, hands-on class setting
    • Flexible, adaptable, and supportive of class game play flow
    • Professional appearance and positive participant-facing presence
    • Maintains confidentiality, objectivity, and a nonjudgmental approach
    • Demonstrates commitment to the NMCRS mission and acts as an NMCRS ambassador
