    Description

    Volunteer in Matahari Wildlife Sanctuary

Matahari Wildlife Sanctuary is a plot of land on Malenge Island we dedicate to the threatened wild animals of the island. It has various ecosystems: deep sea, coral-reefs, seaweeds, white sand and mud beaches, mangroves, coconut groves, lagoon, and rainforest.

We plant fruit trees that the wild animals like, and create a trail for monitoring illegal logging and animal trapping and for ecotourism. As our resources are limited, we need hands to manage this animal refuge.
