Description
Family Service Society of Yonkers is looking for Volunteers to help elementary-aged children at schools in Yonkers to build their reading skills. Sessions are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m, 3:30-4:30 p.m. or 4:30-5:30 p.m depending on each particular site.
During these weekly one-on-one sessions, volunteers will be matched with a student and provided with reading materials and worksheets. This is an ideal opportunity for students, retirees and seniors. Express interest to find out more information and to get started!

Each Reading Buddies site is located at a different address/school in Yonkers. It will be shared once you express interest in a school.

Once you express interest you will be contacted by the Volunteer Recruitment Manager to give you details on our literacy programs and volunteer opportunities. Once that is discussed you will go through our onboarding process to get all set up as a Reading Buddies After School Volunteer.
