    Farm helpers should be able to do strenuous outdoor chores (gardening, cleaning stalls etc). Must be able to get to farm north of Lake Stevens. Class helpers need significant background in horse handling and care.

    Local Equine Therapy Program Growing Volunteer Team

    Do you love helping others, watching positive change happen in people’s lives? Do you love animals and being outside? If you answered yes to these questions then this IS THE volunteer opportunity is for you!

    Courageous Connections brings humans and horses together to empower participants with physical, cognitive and emotional challenges towards achieving their individual goals. In short, we create magic by bringing people from all backgrounds and walks of life together to experience the healing power of horses.

    We are currently seeking volunteers to provide a safe learning environment for our participants in our unmounted horsemanship programs. We hope to add new team members for the following roles:

    • Farm & Garden Volunteers - Outdoor manual labor and 16 or older
    • Business Volunteers - Virtual (social media, marketing, Google & fundraising)
    • Class Volunteers - Horse experience required and 18 years and older.

    Our farm is located in north Snohomish County outside of Lake Stevens.

    Successful Applicants will:

    • Commit to volunteering 2-5 hours/week
    • Be physically able to work outside in diverse weather conditions
    • Work independently and with others

    Class Volunteers additionally require:

    • Agree to attend Orientation and Trauma Informed Care Zoom class
    • Have experience working with, catching, and haltering horses
    • Experience working with people with special needs is preferred

    Business Volunteers:

    • Experience with MS Office (required)
    • Remote volunteering works perfectly
    • Grow your resume in a safe environment utilizing business skills
