    Who We Are

    Human Rights Research Center (HRRC) is an established nonprofit that brings a multidisciplinary approach to human rights and seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and the wider public. We educate through facts, advocate using our research findings, and take action to implement change.

    Who You Are

    We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Volunteer Graphic Designer to help bring our mission and campaigns to life through compelling visuals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing graphics, infographics, and digital assets that engage and educate diverse audiences.

    What You’ll Do

    • Design graphics, infographics, and visual assets for social media, website, and print materials
    • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to develop visual concepts for campaigns and initiatives
    • Create alternate versions of our organization’s logo for use across different platforms and materials
    • Ensure all designs reflect our values of inclusivity, accessibility, and respect
    • Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all platforms
    • Support the creation of templates and resources for ongoing content needs
    • Incorporate feedback and analytics to improve future designs

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated interest in human rights, social justice, or related fields.
    • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar)
    • Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity
    • Ability to communicate ideas visually and work collaboratively in a virtual, fast-paced nonprofit environment
    • Attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to representation and inclusion
    • Familiarity with accessibility standards and digital publishing is a plus
