    Description

Peer Group Facilitator Volunteer with Trans Advocacy & Care Team

    About TACT:

TACT (Trans Advocacy & Care Team) is a growing non-profit initiative that champions the wellbeing of trans and nonbinary individuals across the US. We are trans people helping other trans people to thrive.

Peer Group Facilitator Volunteer (virtual—trans and nonbinary folks only):

Peer Group Facilitators are trans and nonbinary people who facilitate bi-weekly support groups to foster healing and interconnectedness within the trans community. Facilitators create a welcoming and supportive environment for participants to share their stories and build community. This is a great experience for individuals in MSW / Counseling / Psychology programs (or who are looking to apply to those programs). This is a rewarding experience that requires an intentional time commitment:

    • 10 hour training program
    • 2 hours per week, every other week, for 6 months
    • This is a virtual volunteer opportunity that requires access to Zoom and reliable internet.

How to Apply: If you are interested in applying for this role or learning more about other available roles, please visit https://www.yourtact.org/peer-facilitator-volunteer-application.html

Please submit applications by April 1st!

Trainings will be for four consecutive Mondays from 4:30-7:00pm PST/ 7:30-10:00pm EST

Note: We have several additional virtual volunteer opportunities available! Our peer-facing volunteer positions are available to trans and nonbinary individuals only. Our general volunteer positions are open to all (trans folks + allies)! Most of our volunteer positions are entirely virtual/remote and require reliable computer/internet access.
