Chief Financial Officer/Controller

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Financial Controller runs FAR's financial systems, building the budgeting, compliance, and reporting infrastructure the organization needs as it grows from a volunteer-led model into a staffed team. You'll manage accounts and annual reporting, track restricted funds, and keep the finance function connected to what the wider Leadership team needs. This role reports to the Executive Director and relays quarterly and annual reports to the board.

What you'll do:

• Manage accounts, bookkeeping, and annual financial reporting
• Track restricted funds and grant-specific reporting obligations
• Build and maintain budgeting and financial control systems
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports for the board
• Coordinate with the COO on staffing costs and organizational budget planning
• Support compliance with Spanish and Barcelona tax and accounting obligations

You might be a good fit if you have:

• Experience in nonprofit accounting or financial management
• A handle on budgeting and financial controls
• Strong attention to detail and organizational instincts
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Spanish and/or Catalan proficiency (preferred)
• Some grounding in Spanish nonprofit compliance requirements (a bonus)
