At Crescent Hospice, our volunteers are an essential part of our care team. By offering companionship, encouragement, and a caring presence, you can help improve the quality of life for patients and provide support to their families during one of life’s most meaningful journeys.

Whether you’re looking to give back to your community, gain experience in healthcare, or simply make a difference, we have a volunteer opportunity for you.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

Providing companionship and friendly visits

Reading, playing games, listening to music, or sharing hobbies

Writing letters or creating memory keepsakes

Sitting with patients while caregivers take a short respite

Offering emotional support to patients and families

Assisting with administrative projects and office support

Making weekly “Tuck-In” calls to ensure patients have the medications and supplies they need before the weekend

Participating in Veteran Recognition ceremonies for our veteran patients

Assisting with community outreach, health fairs, and special events

Supporting bereavement and family programs as opportunities become available

Qualifications

Compassionate and dependable

Excellent communication and listening skills

Professional and respectful

Able to maintain confidentiality

Desire to make a positive impact in your community

No medical experience is required. We provide comprehensive training, orientation, and ongoing support. We’ll help you find a volunteer role that matches your interests, availability, and comfort level.
