Description
This is a unique opportunity in the Charlotte area to work with local law enforcement and local high school students. We participate in schools through-out Charlotte and the surrounding area. Currently we are already participating in 3-12 presentations monthly within Drivers Education classes afterschool presenting our Power of You(th) program.
This volunteer position would be great for a teacher or former teacher, college student, parent or any other adult in the area that has a passion for educating our youth. A senior in high school may be considered
Responsibilities:
- Present to schools with MADD’s Power of You(th) program
- Help coordinate MADD’s program implementation specifically related to youth and outreach to additional locations
- Establish a network of community members, schools, law enforcement, public officials and other prominent members of the community to maintain and support the goals of MADD’s underage drinking prevention programs
- Staff booths at special events, health and safety fairs as available
