    Description

    Donations & Resource Support Volunteer

At The Light House, we provide esstentials for children who are going from their home to a new foster home. They get a weeks worth of clothing and toiletries to get them started at their new home. This day is crucial for the kids mental health and sets the tone for their new home.

We need help with our clothing/toiletries and are recruiting those who want to help.

    About the Role

As a Donations & Resource Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in helping us provide children with clean, organized, and dignity-filled essentials. From clothing drives to preparing items for distribution, your work directly impacts how a child gets what they need that first day of foster care.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, organization, and making a tangible difference.

    What You’ll Do

    • Assist with organizing and sorting donated clothing and items
    • Help clean, fold, and prepare clothing for distribution
    • Support inventory tracking to ensure items are readily available when needed
    • Assist with donation drives (collecting, transporting, and organizing items)
    • Help create a welcoming and organized resource space for children and families

    Who This Is For

This role is ideal for someone who:

    • Enjoys organizing, sorting, and creating order
    • Doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves and doing hands-on tasks
    • Is dependable and follows through on commitments
    • Has an eye for detail and care in preparing items for others
    • Wants to make a direct, tangible impact in the lives of children
    • Believes that dignity starts with the small things

    Why It Matters

Something as simple as clean clothes, properly folded and ready, can change how a child feels in a moment of uncertainty.

Your time and care help us replace chaos with comfort—and show children they are valued from the very beginning.

    A Final Note

This role may happen behind the scenes—but its impact is felt in a very real way.

If you find joy in creating order, giving back, and being part of something meaningful, we would love to have you on our team.
