    Volunteers must have completed or agree to complete ProLiteracy's or the Florida Literacy Coalition's ESL Tutor Training Online Workshop. The Library will provide access. Must exhibit empathy, patience, and be able to use a computer.

    Description

    This is a six-month volunteer position of a minimum of a one-hour block of time twice weekly. The

    individual(s) will provide one-on-one tutoring for someone who wishes to learn how to read and/or speak

    English or improve upon what they already know.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Ability, and Experience:

    • Volunteers must have completed or agree to complete ProLiteracy's or the Florida Literacy Coalition's ESL Tutor Training Online Workshop. Information regarding how to complete the workshop will be provided.
    • Volunteers must exhibit empathy and patience.
    • Volunteers need to be able to use a computer in order to perform the functions of this role.
