Are you interested in meaningful conversations and connecting with someone who has lived a rich and fascinating life? We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to provide companionship and social engagement to an older adult living in a care home setting.
What You'll Do:
- Visit regularly for conversation and companionship
- Discuss current events, travel, hobbies, and life experiences
- Play card games or other simple activities
- Encourage social interaction and engagement
- Provide a friendly presence and emotional connection
About the Individual:
- Former healthcare professional with a passion for lifelong learning
- Enjoys discussing current events and personal experiences
- Has a history of volunteer service and community involvement
- Loves sewing, card games, birdwatching, sailing, and cultural exchange experiences
- Benefits from opportunities for social stimulation and meaningful conversation
