    Description

Help Plan the Biggest Dog Party of the Year!

Love dogs, community events, and making a real difference? Join the Dawg Gone Walk & Fiesta Planning Committee and help bring our upcoming (and most fun!) fundraising event to life!

This committee is active January through May and plays a crucial role in the event’s success. More than 80% of the event’s funds come from sponsorships, so we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers who enjoy connecting with local businesses and supporters. You’ll also help plan the event details and pitch in on the big day to make sure everything runs smoothly.

We’re especially looking for volunteers to:

    • Help with sponsorship outreach and follow-up
    • Recruit and coordinate event vendors
    • Secure product donations for attendee goodie bags
    • Assist with event planning and day-of activities

The committee meets every 3–4 weeks, with meeting times based on group availability. Can’t attend in person? No problem—virtual options are available, and there are plenty of ways to contribute behind the scenes.

The actual event will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Deer Run Park in Nashville, Indiana. Attendance is encouraged but not required to be on the committee.

The Dawg Gone Walk & Fiesta is a tail-wagging good time filled with games, contests, demonstrations, and a ceremonial walk for pets and their people.

If you’re outgoing, believe in saving animals, and don’t mind asking others to support a great cause—we would love to have you on the team!
