    Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred)

    Commitment: Volunteer Board Role (5–8 hrs/month)

    About Asia Wild

    Asia Wild is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit protecting wildlife across Asia through rescue, sanctuary support, and strategic conservation partnerships. We fund direct care, habitat protection, and long-term solutions for vulnerable species including bears, elephants, pangolins, and companion animals.

    We are entering a strategic growth phase and seeking a board member to help strengthen our fundraising voice and philanthropic reach.

    Role Summary

    We seek a board member with fundraising, communications, or philanthropic leadership experience to help craft compelling donor appeals and guide revenue growth.

    This role is well suited for an experienced professional or philanthropist who wants to play a meaningful leadership role in wildlife protection.

    Key Contributions

    • Draft or refine 1–4 donor appeals per month (email and/or direct mail)
    • Provide strategic input on donor engagement and retention
    • Participate in bi-monthly board meetings and planning
    • Offer guidance on hiring development/communications roles
    • Support introductions to aligned donors, foundations, or partners (as appropriate)

    Ideal Background

    • Nonprofit development or major gifts fundraising
    • Marketing, storytelling, or donor communications
    • Philanthropy, ESG, or social impact leadership
    • Animal welfare or conservation interest (not required)

    High-capacity donors and candidates with strong professional networks are encouraged to apply.

    Board Expectations

    • Active governance participation
    • Annual financial contribution aligned with personal capacity
    • Ambassador role within personal and professional networks
