Chicago Debates is looking for Public Forum Judges that help support our Public Forum debate students. The role of the judge is to simply sit in a classroom with two teams (each team consisting of two students), listening to their arguments, taking notes, keeping track of speech times, picking a winner based on their closing arguments, and providing brief verbal feedback!
We pay $15 per round, and offer breakfast/lunch. If you do not have a debate background, we do have a Public Forum Judge Training that you will need to complete prior to the tournament day.
You will enter the school through Door 1. You can park in the teachers parking lot on North Newland Avenue and West Bloomingdale Avenue.
To sign up, you must first submit your VolunteerLocal Profile. You can view our tournament calendar for event dates/locations/sign up:
If a sign up is not yet live, and you are interested in judging, please email me at Jaguirre@chicagodebates.org.
