URGENT- Veteran to Veteran Volunteers Needed-We Honor Veterans- Veteran Pinning Ceremony and Companionship Volunteers

Veteran volunteers needed to celebrate and honor veteran hospice clients along with teammate or other volunteer. Vet to Vet volunteer would drive to veteran's home or facility once and perform a pinning ceremony with teammate/staff, veteran and their family. We currently have staff member pin our veterans but would love a more honorable ceremony including fellow veteran performing the pinning. Candidate must have proof of valid NC driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance, submit to Tuberculosis test and complete our 12.5 hour volunteer training program which can be done online or in person if needed. Our office is located in Advance NC. We would love to have several veterans split up the territories we serve which is currently Davie, Davidson, Guilford, Forsyth, Yadkin, Stokes. This would be on an as needed basis and based on your availability, not on a set schedule. Could lead to additional visits with the veteran if you wish for companionship and or respite.
