Volunteer for Under the Stars Screening Series

Regent Park Film Festival returns this summer with another amazing volunteer opportunity!

We’re looking for volunteers to help with Under the Stars, our FREE annual summer screening series. Join us if you are interested in expanding your network, building connections within and outside your community, and enjoying our awesome film selections. We are excited to present 3 screenings every Wednesday, from July 8th to July 22nd, with an added rain date on July 29th.

About Regent Park Film Festival: Regent Park Film Festival (RPFF) is an award-winning, community-based, non-profit organization, and Toronto’s longest-running, FREE film festival. RPFF amplifies and centers marginalized communities and their stories; opens access to the film and television industry; and is committed to keeping art free and accessible to everyone, regardless of financial status. Founded in 2003 when Regent Park was Canada’s oldest public housing neighbourhood, RPFF continues to work to remove barriers, including providing free childcare, free film submissions, and paying all artists for their work. While the neighbourhood has evolved and margins are shifting, RPFF works within this dynamism to honour its history.

What is Under the Stars? Under the Stars is an intergenerational gathering place where people of all ages can enjoy free family-friendly activities and film, indulge in food made by local residents, and watch the multitude of cultural performances highlighting the diversity of the neighbourhood. This event has become a cherished tradition for local residents, offering a space to relax, socialize, and enjoy high-quality entertainment, all while supporting local talent and organizations. We are proud to present this free event, which strengthens community bonds and creates a positive, inclusive environment for all.
