Are you ready to bring comfort and joy to those in thier most vulnerable moments?
Join our hospice organizationand become a comapssionate volunteer who makes a true difference in the lives of of patients and their families!
Do you have an interest in making a true difference in someones life by simply sitting with them? If you answered yes, then hospice of Western and Central MA would love to have you join our team in Worcester, MA!
Time spent doing the simplest of things can mean so much to so many. Some activiteis that our volunteers do with our patients include:
- Watching TV together
- Reading out loud to patients
- Sitting outside
- Walking with patients or taking them for a walk in their wheelchair
- Listenng to music
- Crafting
- Making small talk and getting to know each other
- Offering Reiki to help ease discomfort and promote relaxation
- Music therapy
- Art therapy
- Pet therapy
- Even simply sitting quitely and holding their hand, can make someones day better.
