Position Overview
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Director of Branding & Marketing to establish and maintain a unified brand identity for the organization. This volunteer leadership position is perfect for someone with a talent for design, consistency, and storytelling who wants to shape the visual and communication presence of a mission-driven youth organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive brand guide covering logos, color palettes, fonts, tone of voice, and design standards.
- Oversee the organization’s marketing strategy to ensure consistency across all platforms and materials.
- Create or approve official templates, including letterheads, slide decks, social media graphics, brochures, and promotional materials.
- Ensure all teams and volunteers adhere to established branding standards.
- Collaborate with web developers, content creators, and leadership to ensure the website, media, and communications follow unified branding.
- Review and refine logo usage, imagery, and messaging to ensure a professional and inspiring public presence.
- Provide guidance to project teams on brand-appropriate design and marketing approaches.
Qualifications
- Experience in branding, graphic design, marketing, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of visual identity systems, layout, typography, and color theory.
- Ability to create and maintain brand guidelines and design templates.
- Familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, Affinity).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Interest in youth development, STEM, or space-related missions is a plus.
