    Description

    The World Disaster Center (WDC) is expanding its fundraising efforts to support disaster response and health initiatives, including Ebola response.

    We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator to organize, drive, and scale fundraising activities across volunteers, communities, and partners.

    This is an execution and coordination role focused on generating real funding outcomes.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and manage fundraising volunteers and activities
    • Identify and pursue funding opportunities (local and institutional)
    • Support and contribute to proposal writing and submissions
    • Organize fundraising campaigns and initiatives
    • Track outreach, donors, and funds raised
    • Ensure consistent follow-up and conversion of opportunities
    • Report on fundraising performance and pipeline

    • Structured fundraising pipeline
    • Active and coordinated volunteer efforts
    • Regular funding inflows (donations, small partnerships)

    Required Profile

    • Experience in fundraising, business development, or partnerships
    • Strong organizational and coordination skills
    • Ability to manage multiple activities and follow-ups
    • Strong communication and persuasion skills

    • Experience in NGOs, humanitarian, or development sector
    • Experience with proposal writing and donor engagement
    • Familiarity with African markets or communities
