Gardner at Boettcher Mansion

Summary of Position

Assist with planting and maintaining the gardens and grounds of Boettcher Mansion.

Collaborate with other volunteer gardeners to determine the seasonal needs of the gardens.

Duties

Plant, transplant, water, prune, and weed flower beds and plant areas

Maintain flowers, trees, bushes, and shrubs

Weed whacking and leaf/needle blowing

Plant and propagate bedding plants

Record volunteer hours in online reporting system, Offero

Requirements

Commitment to Jeffco Parks & Open Space mission

Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Prior experience with gardening tools and grounds keeping helpful

Enjoy working outside and able to do physical work such as digging, lifting, and carrying heavy items

Purchase and wear JCPOS Volunteer uniform shirt and wear while volunteering

Volunteers must abide by JCPOS Park Regulations and established volunteer policies and procedures

outlined in the JCPOS Volunteer Handbook
