    Volunteers will serve as community ambassadors in the weeks leading up to our Juneteenth Community Resource Fair on June 13th. Going door-to-door in Willowbrook and surrounding neighborhoods, volunteers will distribute flyers & encourage residents

    Description

    Juneteenth 2026 Outreach

    We're looking for 30+ volunteers to support canvassing and community outreach in the weeks leading up to the event — helping us reach those who need these resources most, including low-income residents and justice-impacted individuals.

    Volunteer windows are 2-3 hours each. Here are the dates available:

    Thursday, May 28th (4-7 pm)

    Friday, May 29th (4-7 pm)

    Wednesday, June 3rd (4-7 PM)

    Thursday, June 4th(4-7 PM)

    Friday, June 5th (4-7 pm)

    Thursday, June 10th(4-7 PM)

    Friday, June 11th (4-7 pm)

    Instructions:

    Step 1: Sign Up Complete the volunteer interest form to reserve your spot.

    Step 2: Confirm Your Shift Canvassing shifts are available in the weeks leading up to the event. Once signed up, you will receive a confirmation with your assigned date, time, and meeting location.

    Step 3: Attend Orientation All volunteers are required to attend a brief orientation before their first shift. Orientation covers talking points, safety guidelines, and what to expect in the field.

    Step 4: Show Up & Canvas Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. All flyers and materials will be provided. You will be paired with a team and assigned a specific neighborhood route.

    Step 5: Check In & Check Out Upon arrival, check in with your team lead. After your shift, check out and share any feedback or notes from the field.
