As a Mental Health and Counseling Coordinator, you'll provide crucial support to refugee and immigrant families, predominantly African adults and children, through Unite Us, email, and phone contact. You'll locate free or public mental health services, including specialized child psychologists. While AUCC funding is available for therapy sessions, you'll prioritize finding no-cost options first. You'll maintain sensitive data on mental health service needs for our Data team while respecting client privacy, and participate in community discussions to reduce stigma and expand accessible mental health care.
Please answer all short questions. You should have background or strong interest in mental health services, counseling, or psychology. If not, please tell us why you want to develop skills in mental health coordination! Our team has PhD students and mental health professionals who can guide you in identifying appropriate mental health resources, supporting clients sensitively, and maintaining confidentiality. You MUST have a CV/Resume to get accepted.
