    Description

Nurses: The Red Cross Needs Your Skills at the Rock Island Arsenal

Note: We originally needed 2 nurses for this opportunity, but the program has expanded to allow us to recruit 5 nurses.

The American Red Cross of Illinois is urgently seeking RNs and LPNs with current professional licenses who are available to serve approximately 5 hours per week at the Woodson Health Clinic on the Rock Island Arsenal. This is an ideal opportunity for retired nurses or those working part-time. You can exercise your clinical skills while providing patients the highest quality care, with a minimal time commitment.

The Red Cross has served the United States military since Clara Barton tended the wounded and dying soldiers of the Civil War. Today, our volunteers continue to serve active duty military personnel, their families, and veterans through a variety of programs and services. It's an honor to serve those who serve our nation. The Rock Island Arsenal is a major contributor to our local economy, and an important part of our Quad Cities culture and history. It is also a valued partner for the Red Cross.

We need at least three more qualified nurses to assist for a minimum of one day a week at the Woodson Health Clinic, for about 5 hours per shift. You will work under the supervision of the officer-in-charge of the clinic, who is a Family Nurse Practitioner.

If you hold a nursing license and have an interest, please contact us today so we can schedule an interview with our Red Cross Director of Service to the Armed Forces and the clinic supervisor right away. We are eager to meet you and find out if this opportunity is right for you!
