Description
As a lunch volunteer at Washington United Church of Christ you will prepare and serve community lunch for people experiencing poverty, including homelessness. Lunch is served as a sit down meal with a takeout option.
Primary Lunch Tasks/Responsibilities as a volunteer:
- Serve lunch to guests starting at noon. Lunch is served buffet style.
- Assist the cook with making lunch
- Assist with preparing takeout containers and packing the takeout bags with utensils and drinks.
- Assist with clean-up to include but not limited to wiping tables, washing dishes, sweeping floors, and putting everything back where it belongs
- Assist with sorting and bagging food donations

Our program is exclusive to those 55 years+ in and around Hamilton County.
