Responsibilities
- Governance & Strategy — attend board meetings, review and vote on organizational strategy, budget, and major funding decisions.
- Fundraising — cultivate donor and funder relationships, identify prospects, and help the board meet its collective fundraising goals.
- Committee Participation — serve actively on at least one standing committee aligned with your skills or interests (e.g., Programs, Finance, Marketing, Technology).
- Fiduciary Oversight — review financial statements and help ensure MC917 meets its nonprofit compliance and reporting obligations.
- Community Ambassadorship — represent MC917 at community events and help build visibility, partnerships, and credibility for the organization.
- Program Support — stay engaged with at least one MC917 initiative directly, such as student persistence programming, community small grants, or our annual fundraising events.
