We need volunteers for our Performing Arts Workshop Series at The Village Workspace in Centennial (7173 S Havana St #100, Centennial)! We will be learning different performing arts methods and techniques from amazing actor and performer, Ben Michaels, as well as playing games, doing crafts, and getting outside (weather permitting). We will be exploring storytelling through writing and performance, acting, and improvisation games. The purpose of these workshops is for kids to learn a new skill, use art to express themselves, and be a part of an awesome community of youth who have experienced foster care and/or other out of home placements. We are meeting at The Village on Saturdays, January 10th-31st from 10:30am-2:00pm. These are free drop-off events for youth ages 8-16, Lunch will be provided.
If you are interested in volunteering for the performing arts series, please be available to commit to at least two of the four sessions. We want this group of young people to be able to connect with our volunteers as well!
Volunteer duties include supervision of the kids (making sure they are safe), participating in the activities with them, and helping to set up/clean up before and after the event. We love our volunteers! Volunteers must be at least 18 and pass a background check.
