    Description

    Do you want to help low-income families get out of poverty? You can by volunteering with MFS CASH Oregon!

    By providing free tax preparation and supporting free tax sites throughout the Portland Metro area, our IRS-certified volunteers help thousands of low-income families and individuals access important tax credits and keep more of the income they earn.

    Not a tax expert? No problem! There are volunteer roles for all interests, plus MFS CASH Oregon provides training and ongoing support. To be a great volunteer, you just need to be:

    • Compassionate and friendly
    • Comfortable working with a diverse group of clients
    • Willing to ask questions
    • Willing to learn new skills

    Flexible schedule, multiple tax sites to choose from. 4 hours/week commitment during tax season (late January - mid April).
