Description
Empower CDC is seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers to support our Empower(ed) to Feed Food Pantry, which serves seniors, families, and individuals across our community.
Volunteers will assist with pantry setup, food distribution, packing grocery bags, restocking shelves, and providing friendly support to residents and community members. This opportunity plays a vital role in reducing food insecurity and ensuring families have access to nutritious food.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with food distribution to residents and community members
- Packing and organizing pantry items
- Restocking shelves and maintaining a clean pantry space
- Assisting staff with event setup and breakdown
- Providing respectful and welcoming interaction with participants
Qualifications:
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items (with accommodations as needed)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to treating all participants with dignity and respect
