    Description

    Tutoring adult learners in literacy through Project Read in North San Mateo County.

    Volunteers support adults in building their reading, writing, and communication skills through one-on-one or small group sessions.

    This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are patient, supportive, and passionate about empowering others through learner-centered education. All volunteers receive training in literacy instruction and effective strategies for working with adult learners.

    Interested volunteers must be 18 or older and attend a one-time orientation, held on the third Thursday of each month from 6:30 pm–8:00 pm.
