Volunteer with OPB! Eastern Oregon Event Assistant - John Day

Help OPB bring community events to John Day and Eastern Oregon! Join the Eastern Oregon Event Assistant volunteer team! Help greet guests, connect with community members, and support day-of event logistics. Go behind the scenes and meet the team at documentary screenings, panels, musical performances, radio/podcast recordings and more.

If you live in the Eastern Oregon region — including John Day, Baker City, Burns, Hermiston, Pendleton, Boardman, La Grande, Ontario and surrounding areas — we'd love to have you join us at a future event.

We are especially looking for volunteers for upcoming community events in John Day.

Commitment:

• We expect there may be approximately 1 - 3 annual event opportunities in Eastern Oregon
• Volunteer shifts for special events are typically 3 - 5 hours long
