    Description

Youth/Young Adults plan for a Drug Free community!

Newton County Drug Free Coalition is actively seeking high school youth and college young adults to participate in the community-wide planning group for drug/alcohol abuse prevention.

The Coalition meets monthly to discuss how we can help our community raise awareness about the effects and impacts of substance misuse by youth and adults. The Coalition is made up of agencies and organizations who have a vested interest in the mental health and well being of the people they serve and citizens interested in seeing a reduction in drug/alcohol use and the accompanying high-risk behaviors that damage our community.

The Coalition meets first Wednesday of the month from noon to 1:30 pm. If you can't make the current meeting schedule but would like to be involved in helping to prevent substance misuse, there are opportunities to be involved in campaigns throughout the year. Contact Mollie Melvin at Newton Community Partnership, 770.330.7405 or mollie@newtonpartnership.org.
