Description
An EmpowerED Chapter is a localized branch of our nonprofit that organizes Hospital Campaigns and Special Projects in person. Each campaign assembles and delivers personalized care packages to individuals currently hospitalized for eating disorders and related mental health struggles. Each project, depending on what it is, distributes some kind of resource to your school/community. Chapters allow The EmpowerED Initiative to expand our impact while building community and creativity offline. Something to note is that chapters are currently focused on hospital campaigns and special projects only. Other volunteer roles are remote and do not require chapters to join.
As a Chapter Leader, you will:
- Recruit and organize local volunteers
- Host in-person events to assemble care packages and distribute resources
- Spread the word through social media, clubs, or community groups
- Coordinate with TEI HQ during campaigns
- Track volunteer hours and report campaign/project progress
EmpowerED HQ helps with:
- Hospital and other community center outreach & mailing coordination
- Fundraising strategy and coverage
- Campaign announcements and design (including things for social media)
