    Research & Development Volunteer (Remote – Cold Calling | U.S. & Canada)

    Two Volunteer Opportunities

    FoodRecovery.org is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting wasted food and food insecurity at the same time. Through our platform, we connect organizations with surplus food to communities in need, championing sustainability by diverting edible food away from landfills.

    Update (we are seeking one more volunteer to primarily cover Canada) - We are seeking two motivated volunteers to support our Research & Development (R&D) efforts through outbound cold calling across the United States and Canada. This is a fully remote role ideal for individuals interested in research, communications, and business development while volunteering in nonprofit work.

    Volunteer Commitment

    We are offering 2-month volunteer intervals, with flexible schedules depending on the role and your availability. All your help would be 100% done remotely.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct outbound cold calls to organizations, professionals, and stakeholders across the U.S. and Canada.
    • Introduce our initiatives clearly and professionally.
    • Gather insights, feedback, and relevant data to support our efforts.
    • Maintain accurate call logs and notes in the provided system.
    • Identify potential collaboration or partnership opportunities.
    • Follow provided scripts while adapting naturally to conversations.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A genuine passion for making a difference.
    • Reliability and a willingness to collaborate.
    • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls.
    • Organized and detail-oriented.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
    • Prior experience in customer service, sales, or outreach is a plus (not required).
    • Alignment with our mission and values.
