    Description

    • The Lake Park Public Library is interested in volunteers for shelving and organizing books, helping with kids’ programs or story time during the Summer (June and July), assisting at events like workshops, clubs, tutoring (reading, homework help, ESL), and Digital literacy or Tech help (helping people use computers).
    • The basic requirements are: 14 years and up. Fill out an application form, and parental consent (if under 18)
    • A screening is required (a background check and a brief interview for orientation)
    • The volunteers should be organized, patient with people, and willing to learn the Dewey Decimal System.
    • It's a plus: Computer skills and speaks other languages such as Creole and Spanish.
    • You can come with us to complete your Community Service Hours.
