About SHARE
Founded in 1976, SHARE Cancer Support (SHARE) is a national, peer-led nonprofit organization that supports and educates anyone who has been diagnosed with breast or gynecologic cancers and provides outreach to the public about signs and symptoms. Our programs are designed with cultural humility and provide support and education to Spanish-speaking, Black, and Chinese-speaking communities. Much of the support is provided by trained survivors who have lived experience and understand what a cancer diagnosis is really like. All of SHARE’s services are free.
No one should go through cancer alone, so we provide online support groups, phone support, live, and on-demand educational webinars on many aspects of dealing with and living with cancer. We have an innovative Patient Navigation program, which offers individualized support in navigating the health care system and in finding resources. We are among the very few organizations to help women with metastatic breast cancer and uterine cancer.
