National Read Across America Day will take place on Monday, March 2, the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, famously known as Dr. Seuss. His birthday kicks off a month-long celebration that promotes the joy of reading in schools and communities across our nation.
United Way of Tarrant County will provide students in multiple districts with items to encourage their reading journey. Volunteers are needed to help us write cards of encouragement for students and assemble literacy kits for our distribution. All supplies will be provided.
Date: Tuesday, February 24
Time: 10am to 12pm
Location: United Way of Tarrant County, Boardroom - 201 N. Rupert St., Ste. 107, Fort Worth, TX 76107. We are located in the industrial area north of the Montgomery Plaza Shopping Center on the other side of White Settlement Rd. We are a handicapped accessible building.
Parking: Parking is available in the front and sides of our main office with street parking also available.
Refreshments: Light snacks will be provided.
