Butte Hospice is seeking volunteers to help us in our mission to support local families at a time when they need help the most. Hospice volunteers provide breaks for families, provide companionship, and even help with light household chores. Hospice volunteers are a vital part of our team. Volunteers are also needed in our Chico office, for those who may not want to work directly with families and patients. How to Volunteer for This Opportunity
The majority of our hospice patients reside in Chico, Oroville, and surrounding areas, but volunteers are needed in all areas of Butte, Glenn, and Tehama counties.
Volunteering for hospice isn’t as easy as walking in and helping, as it is for many non-profit organizations. We owe it to our hospice patients and families that our volunteers are properly trained, and that a criminal background check has been performed. The process is well worth the initial time investment.
