    Description

Do you love designing and executing campaigns that make a real impact? Myositis Support & Understanding (MSU) is seeking a Volunteer Campaign Manager to lead multi-channel initiatives that raise awareness, engage the community, and advance patient-led research and advocacy. In this role, you’ll plan, coordinate, and optimize campaigns across digital, social, and community platforms, collaborating with a passionate volunteer team to deliver measurable results. Join us and help amplify MSU’s mission nationwide.

Myositis Support and Understanding (MSU) is a leading non-profit dedicated to empowering and advocating for individuals affected by myositis, a group of rare autoimmune diseases. We provide vital resources, foster community, and raise awareness to improve the lives of those living with these challenging conditions.

    Responsibility

The Volunteer Campaign Manager will plan, execute, and optimize integrated marketing and awareness campaigns across digital, social, email, and community channels.

This includes developing campaign strategies, coordinating cross-functional volunteer teams, tracking performance, and ensuring all initiatives reflect MSU’s mission and brand.

The position may also provide operational support to the Outreach & Engagement Team Lead and MSU leadership during key campaigns and events.

    Principle Duties

    • Develop and execute multi-channel campaign strategies aligned with MSU’s mission.
    • Coordinate campaign activities across email, social media, website, and community events.
    • Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and volunteer assignments to ensure quality and on-time completion.
    • Collaborate with Communication Lead and Content Coordinator to maintain message consistency.
    • Monitor campaign performance, analyze metrics, and prepare post-campaign reports.
    • Optimize campaigns using data insights, A/B testing, and audience feedback.
    • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with partners for campaign execution.
    • Support major initiatives such as Giving Tuesday, National Philanthropy Day, and Myositis Awareness Month.

    Qualifications

The following are considered key job qualifications:

    • Experience in campaign management, digital marketing, or integrated communications.
    • Strong project management and leadership skills, managing volunteers or cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency with tools such as Mailchimp, Google Analytics, and social media schedulers.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
    • Nonprofit, healthcare, or patient advocacy campaign experience preferred.
    • Personal or family experience with myositis or other chronic/rare diseases is desirable.

    Benefits

    • Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful mission and raise awareness for the myositis community.
    • Flexible scheduling and remote work environment.
    • Gain experience in strategic marketing, campaign management, and performance analytics.
    • Supportive, collaborative, and inclusive volunteer culture.
    • Leadership experience in high-impact, national-level nonprofit campaigns.

MSU values collaboration, inclusion, and the unique strengths each volunteer brings. If you are ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by myositis and help advance patient-driven research and advocacy, we encourage you to apply. Join our dedicated team of volunteers and help us transform myositis care—one initiative at a time.
