    About Maya’s Hope

Maya’s Hope supports orphaned, impoverished, and special-needs children in Ukraine and the Philippines with lifesaving medical care, therapies, and essentials. This gala is our flagship fundraiser.

    Role Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Volunteer Videographer to capture the energy and heart of our gala—red carpet arrivals, donor/host interviews, program highlights, and ambiance B-roll—and provide a short highlight film post-event.

    What You’ll Do

    • Event Coverage (on-site)
    • Red carpet / step-and-repeat arrivals and crowd ambience
    • Candid B-roll (reception, dinner, paddle raise, dance floor)
    • Stage/program moments (speeches, honoree presentation)
    • 6–10 short vox-pop/thank-you interviews (30–60 sec each) with donors/hosts
    • Audio/Lighting
    • Capture clean audio for speeches (XLR from house board if available) and interviews (lavalier/shotgun)
    • Manage on-camera light or small LED panel as needed
    • Post-Production (deliverables)
    • 1–2 min highlight reel (1080p or 4K) with tasteful licensed/royalty-free music, basic color, and simple lower-thirds
    • Up to 8 vertical clips (15–30 sec) for social (1080×1920)
    • All usable raw footage (organized by scene) delivered via Drive/Dropbox or any similar program
    • Light cleanup on audio (noise reduction where needed)

    Ideal Fit / Requirements

    • Prior event videography experience (portfolio or links required)
    • Own gear
    • Comfortable running-and-gun style, working around a live program
    • Friendly, professional, and discreet with VIPs and press
    • Able to meet post-event deadlines: first cut within 7–10 days, finals within 14 days of feedback

    Time Commitment

    • Pre-event: One 20-minute Zoom for run-of-show and shot list (week of Nov 10)
    • On-site: ~5–5.5 hours (6 to 11 PM)
    • Post: Editing & exports as above

    We Provide

    • Hot meal and non-alcoholic beverages during shift
    • On-site liaison for interview wrangling and schedule
    • Credit on our website/socials + tagging on published content
    • Signed letter of service and reference upon request
    • Great portfolio content from a high-impact NYC gala

    How to Apply (Indeed)

    Please include:

    • Portfolio links (highlight reels, event work, interviews)
    • Gear list (camera(s), lenses, audio, stabilization)
    • Mention on similar events you’ve shot
    • Confirm you’re available Nov 19, 6 –11:00 PM and can deliver the 1–2 min highlight + verticals by the timelines above.
