    Description

Share your special skills with hospice patients!

Are you a licensed cosmetologist willing to donate your skills to give a manicure or new hairstyle to a hospice patient? Are you a musician who could bring your musical instrument to entertain hospice patients and their families? Are you a videographer who could make a lasting video keepsake for the family using stories told by the hospice patient and old family photos/home movies? Are you an artist who can assist hospice patients and their children or grandchildren to make beautiful art together and create precious memories? Is your pet a certified therapy dog and could accompany you to visit someone who could use a wagging tail to make them smile? These and other special skills can mean so much to our wonderful hospice patients and their families. Let us know what you can do and we would love to find a way for you to help!

Volunteers are vital to the mission of Interim Hospice - offering whole-person-centered care to those facing life-limiting illness and their families. If you don't have experience with hospice or know the "right" thing to say, don't worry! The most important thing is to be a caring presence with them, and sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.

Volunteers will be thoroughly trained with a hospice volunteer orientation and a chance to have all your questions addressed. We would love to have you join our hospice team!
