    Description

Have a garden, a raised bed, or room for a few pots? You can grow something that makes a difference at someone else’s table.

The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen is inviting volunteers in Garland and surrounding communities to join Grow for Us—an opportunity to grow vegetables, fruits, herbs, or flowers at home and donate them for our community meals and events.

We provide free, freshly prepared meals and restaurant-style hospitality to people experiencing food insecurity and neighbors in need. Fresh produce helps nourish our guests, while flowers become table centerpieces that make our dining spaces feel warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully prepared.

    HOW IT WORKS

    • Choose a vegetable, fruit, herb, or flower you would like to grow, and coordinate with our team about what we can use.

    • Plant, tend, and harvest it at home—in your backyard, raised beds, patio containers, or balcony garden.

    • Keep us informed about what you’re growing and approximately when it will be ready.

    • Arrange a delivery time with our team and bring your donation to our designated location in Garland.

You don’t need a large garden or enough produce to supply an entire meal. One plant, a few pots, or a small section of your garden can be your way of contributing.

    WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

We welcome experienced gardeners and beginners willing to plant and care for something. This is a meaningful way to serve for people who enjoy gardening or prefer to contribute from home.

    TIME AND COMMITMENT

Your gardening schedule is flexible, with ongoing care based on what you choose to grow. Seasonal participation is welcome. We’ll coordinate donation timing around harvest readiness and our upcoming events.

Volunteers provide their own growing space and gardening supplies and donate what they grow. Participants must be able to deliver donations to Garland at an agreed-upon time; we cannot provide individual pickups.

Whether you grow something for a guest’s plate or flowers for their table, you’ll be helping us create a meal that says, “You matter, and we’re glad you’re here.”
